Mirko was born in Italy in the summer of 1968. His first step into entertainment was at 16 when he became a model for some very large fashion labels in Italy, doing mainly catwalk and up market shows.
In 1993 he moved to Australia where in a few years he established himself as Celebrity Chef, doing hundreds of stage shows, television appearances, he published 2 cookbooks and had his own series “Food Facts” I 2002.
Concerned about the thickness of his accent and determined to improve his stage/theatrical abilities, he enrolled for an advanced diploma in stage and screen acting. In 2003, after his graduation, Mirko had fully embraced this new industry and realised he had actually fallen in love with the art of performing.
For the first few years he concentrated in building a solid portfolio of both stage and screen performances, he left his cooking shows on stand by for a while, although in the meantime he produced and shot a few lifestyle pilots episodes.
2009 was the year in which things began to turn with his first role on a Hollywood feature “Narnia – The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”, in which he spent 11 weeks on set.
2009 also marked the end of his first feature script as writing was a passion he had since he was very young and had to put on hold as his English was not good enough to make sense on paper. Now part of the AWG (Australian Writers Guild ), Mirko has completed 2 features, 1 mini TV series and he’s on his 4th script.
His acting career didn’t stop though and to date, Mirko has won 2 awards as best actor and has been nominated for 4. His portfolio is rich of over 90 productions, most of which on screen.
In 2012 he starred in Agent Provocateur, a feature that won Best Foreign Film at the Action On Film Festival in Los Angeles and granted him with representation in the United States.
At present, Mirko is producing 2 feature films, a true story and a supernatural thriller both to be shot in Australia in 2016.
